New Day New Life

Helga smiled as she stepped out of the shower, Michael was still fast asleep in bed and she hadn't had the heart to wake him up. As she changed, she thought about what had happened...she was finally reunited with the man she loved and she intended to keep it that way. They had been through a lot together and last night had been a firmer reminder that they were meant to be together, all these years later and he was just the way she remembered him. She laughed under her breath as she moved back towards the room where he was still fast asleep and moved to lie right next to him. She trailed her fingers along his arm as she lay next to him, she pressed a gentle kiss on his cheek before she curled up next to him.

A strong arm immediately wrapped around her waist the moment she laid down, pulling her closer to him if even possible. His eyes was still closed, but he was obviously awake. He had been for a short while, during the time she had been in the showers actually.But he had felt so relaxed and catually fallen back asleep for a moment. It still surprsied him.... how rested he felt for once, not trying to resist sleep or worry about what he might relive in his dreams.
Had he been someone els,e he surely would've laughed or something at himself. He was acint so out of character.... Well not really, but he sure felt like someone else.
Slowly he allowed his eyes to finally open, and contently just stared at her face for a moment, expression blank as ever but with soemthing else there in his eyes.

She sighed in content as his arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her against him, a small smile touching her face at the gesture. "Sleep well?" She asked him quietly as she studied him thoughtfully. He looked good...and she had a feeling he actually had gotten some well needed sleep, and then there was that look in his eyes that she was enjoying. Being around him soothed her, and even though she felt a little worried about Alice, for the moment she was spending time with someone she hadn't seen in years.
