Another new room?! Another roommate? • Phoebus

He looked down at his own legs and chuckled softly. "I prefer to keep them this way. Werewolf legs are not comfortable." He patted his leg for a moment before he decided to lay back on the mattress, staying in his own space. Invading the space of others was something he was very good at avoiding. He had his own boundaries, as did others.

"Do you transform into a werewolf?" Chel asked almost surprised, she didn't even thought that also him could be subject to transformations. She had heard stories about werewolves and their 'curse', but since Phoebus was a timelord werewolf maybe it could have been different.

Phoebus looked over at her and nodded. "I do. The only difference between me and a normal werewolf is that I can control my transformations. I don't need to change every 'full moon' or whatever it is." That was a perk of only being a half-blood. For some reason, that gave him more control rather than less, and he loved it.

"That's not bad, right?" Chel titled her head a bit and smiled at Phoebus "One less problem." she smiled. She was actually happy that she didn't have to face the problems of a werewolf transformation. Probably she wouldn't even pass the first hour with one transformed and without control.

Phoebus chuckled to himself. "Although it does have it's downsides." He flexed his hands and frowned. "It's a little painful but it's not too bad." Much like how her legs got sore, his whole body would hurt him. Aches and spasms but they were easy to control after a while.

"I see..." Chel said looking down, she didn't thought that a werewolf transformation could be painful, certainly it wasn't like changing a tail for two feet; his transformation took the whole body.
"Do you like to be a wolf?" she asked wondering how the sensation could be.

Phoebus frowned slightly to himself, looking at the floor. "Not particularly. Don't get me wrong, I love the power, but I have most of that in this form as well." Transforming sent so much pain through his body. It felt like his muscles were on fire and there was nothing he could so to stop it. Maybe it was just him, considering he was only a half-blood. But then again, maybe not.

Chel nodded, she wasn't sure that she would actually understand all the pain of his transformations, but if Phoebus said that it had to be true.
"It's unproductive." she smiled "The pain doesn't correspond at the power."

Phoebus look over at her and nodded. "Exactly." He gave her a smile as he sat up. "It's part of the curse." A small chuckle came past his lips.

Curse? Chel turned her head "Being a werewolf is a curse?" she asked being taken aback, she didn't know that part of the story. The tales about werewolves didn't mention a curse.

Phoebus looked at her curiously. "Well, it may not be an actual 'curse'. Just feels like one." Everything he said just seemed to be confusing her even more.

Chel titled her head "How does it feel like a curse if it's not a curse?" she smiled trying to understand what he actually meant. "For Triton! How can the mainland be so complicated?" she chuckled.

Phoebus laughed at her comment before he thought about it for a moment, trying to figure out how to word it. "Well you know how curses usually make you...unhappy? Unwanted? That's how it is for me everyday. So I consider it as one, even if it isn't." He looked over at her to see if it made any sense.

Chel placed a finger on her chin "Well... that make sense actually.." this time seemed like Phoebus explained the whole thing under a new light making everything, well the most, clear.
"You don't have to feel in that way though.." Chel smiled "I'm quite sure that there was or is someone who... wants you? Maybe.." she said almost as a whisper, afraid to hurt his feelings.

Phoebus chuckled as ran his hand through his hair slowly. "Maybe some day." He gave her a reassuring smile. That was one thing he never even considered; a relationship. He grew up alone, spent all of his time alone, so why not be alone?

Chel glanced up, that was sad. Why hadn't he found someone yet? Maybe he didn't let people to come near him and have something more.
"Someday... of course!" Chel chuckled "It's a promise?" she smiled crossing her heart.

Phoebus looked over at her in surprise. It's a promise?
He stared at her in awe for a few seconds before he snapped himself out of it. "Sure. It's a promise." His finger hovered over his chest as he crossed his heart as well. It was something he hadn't done for...so, so many years.

"Good!" Chel chuckled softly, now he had just to keep it. Maybe she would never be able to see it, but at least he promised, even if only to make her happy.
"If you don't, I'll know!" she winked laughing.

Phoebus smiled and looked at her curiously. "What about you? Do you have anyone waiting for you?" He hoped he hadn't brought up any bad feelings, it was just pure curiosity.

Chel smiled watching him "If you're wondering if I have a boyfriend... I'm sorry but the answer is no." she laughed softly "Only relatives and friends are waiting home.." she sighed, wondering if she would ever be able to see them again. She left everything in the ocean sure that she would have seen them again, certainly she didn't imagine to be taken in a place like that.
"Well waiting me and my brother." she chuckled sightly "Of course there's also him!"

Phoebus watched her as she spoke. At least she had friends and family out there. If she did have a boyfriend, he wouldn't be surprised if her was worried sick. It had already been a couple of weeks since they were taken. "I'm sure your brother is doing his best to find you." He gave her a reassuring smile.

Chel smiled, she was happy that Phoebus was trying to reassure her. It was really helpful and in a some how she actually needed it.
"I know..." she smiled "I just hope that he doesn't get hurt trying..."

Phoebus let a few moments of silence pass between them before he spoke again. "So...How do we want to do the sleeping arrangements?" He stood up and gestured towards the mattress. It was probably getting late and surely she was tired.

Chel glanced at the mattress, there was enough space for both of them, it was big, but maybe it would have been awkward to ask to sleep together, like she used to ask Kale when they were on the mainland.
"We can share this bed.. I mean.. I take this part and you the other one.." she gestured to the side closer to her and then to the opposite closer to Phoebus. It wouldn't be embarrassing if they divided the mattress in two parts vertically.

Phoebus watched her speak and noticed how nervous she was. "Tell you what, you can have this whole mattress to yourself." He stood up and sat on the ground a few feet from the mattress. "I don't usually sleep, so you should be as comfortable as possible." He flashed her a smile, letting her know he wasn't planning on moving and it was ok.
